As a tester and a test
ruler I made trainings and researches at the state of artificial
weightlessness in the hydro surface and in the altitude cameras of
“The Name of Gagarin Cosmonauts Preparing Center”, the S. P.
Koroliov’s NPO “ENERGY”, the “ZVEZDA” plant (the main Russian
producer of space suits). I was the first tester in history, worked
in the hydro laboratory of the European Space Center at Cologne.
In the state of artificial weightlessness I’d made more
than 100 space work trainings with many cosmonauts such as Manarov,
Afanasiev, Polishuk, Lazutkin, Kaleri, with the US astronaut D.Wulf
and the first French astronaut Jean-Luc Chretien. In a one team with
the Hero of Soviet Union Viktor M. Afanasiev I’d tested the “Orlan”
space suite in the altitude camera at the 75 km. altitude pressure.
Now in this space suits they make space works at “The International
Space Station”.
I also made more than 50 flights at the
artificial weightlessness in a laboratory IL-76MDK type aircraft and
20 delayed drops.
As the team member I ruled trainings at
The Space Flight Management Center. There I also worked as a major
coordinator (with the “Zarya” call) of the space works of the
cosmonauts Serebrov and Viktorenko (with the “Vityaz”-es calls) when
they tested the space «chair».
By cosmonauts I’ve been
named “The Teacher” – the highest unofficial space instructors’
award.
I started as a diver at 1985 and later had been
qualified as a diver officer, underwater working professional, CMAS
1 star instructor, PADI instructor (at 1997). As an instructor 1997
I’ve prepared and certified more than 1000 PADI divers. At 2002 I
graded as the PADI course-director. Since that time I also prepared
about 300 PADI instructors and IDC Staff instructors with more than
1000 total instructors’ certifications quantity.
My
current diving hobbies are the ice diving, dry suite diving and a
diving in new places. For instance I made the 25 meters deep diving
in the “First meteorite lake” (is also known as the “Smerdyachee”
lake). 10 thousands years ago that lake was created in the Moscow
region (near the town of Roshal) as a result of meteorite burst with
a power of 10 Hiroshima bombs.
I have some other,
non-diving hobbies, such as football and tennis.
My
favorite work is the instructors’ training. Each year I conduct from
4 to 8 seminars. Except them there is continuous learning on the
base of unique Russian PADI dive career development center
“Aquanaut” (Moscow) and PADI 5-stars dive instructors’ preparing
centers “Zvezdny” (Moscow region), “2B3” (St. Petersburg), “Club
Red” (Dahab, Egypt) and “Red Sea College” (Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt).
There is learning on Russian, English and Lithuanian languages.
I have got my own diving center with a camp at the lake
of “Beloye-Bordukovskoye” in the Moscow region. The lake camp is
opened each summer 24-hour a day. Every weekend we conduct “The
water-cleaning days”. At 2004 one of our members – Mitya Chumakov –
had been awarded by PADI as the youngest water cleaner in Russia.
Every year from 2002 to 2007 I’d been awarded by PADI
diploma “100 certifications per year”. At 2006 PADI introduced honor
grades of the Silver, Gold and Platinum course-directors. Now I am
the first and alone Russian course-director, graded as “The PADI
Platinum Course-Director” and one of 65 men, who have got this award
from the total number of 1’100 PADI course-directors in the world.
